Report Reveals Increase In Commercial Lending

De Montford University in Leicester has produced their six monthly report covering the first half of 2014 into commercial lending. It is claimed to be the most extensive report of its kind in the UK.

Increase in new commercial lending for the first 6 months of 2014 revealed in report by De Montford University
There has been an increase in the amount of new commercial lending in the first half of 2014

In order to produce the report, information is obtained from about 65 of the major banks, building societies, asset management companies and insurers so it provides an extensive overview.

Highlights of the report are that there has been a big increase in the commercial lending sector as far as new lending is concerned with £19.6 billion lent in that six monthly period. Those seeking commercial finance are able to obtain more advantageous terms. It is not only banks and building societies that are providing the likes of commercial mortgages. It is also interesting to note that there has been a reduction in the number of loans that have fallen into arrears or defaulted.

So, if you are looking for a commercial mortgage, you will be pleased to hear that there are many lenders out their offering such finance at competitive rates. Last year saw an increase in the number of peer-to-peer lenders offering this type of finance and this is a source of commercial lending that is likely to grow in 2015.

With so many lenders in the market for your business how should you go about trying to find the most competitive package to meet your exacting requirements? Yes, you could just contact your business manager at your bank who looks after your account but they may not necessarily offer you the most competitive deal in the marketplace.

Instead, why not get in touch with ourselves as we provide access to an extensive panel of lenders that provide commercial mortgage finance. Doing this is likely to save you a great deal of time and, hopefully, save you some money as well.

We look forward to hearing from you.
